My Favourite Places to Picnic in Paris

Although summer is almost ending I’ve decided to compile a list of my favorite places to picnic or have drinks with your mates in the city of love aka Paris!

1. The Seine

A great destination to have a picnic or host a cheeky pre-drinks, there’s the river (just be careful not to fall in it with the amount of alcohol you’ll be consuming). You can sit by the edge of the Seine, dangle your feet and enjoy French rosé with some saucissons before heading to the nearest club. Santé!

My go-to place for pres

2. Jardin des Tuileries

This is the famous and ENORMOUS gardens between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde. Right near the end, you can catch a glimpse of the Arc de Triomphe and even pop into the Orangerie Museum to see Monet.

Nearest metro: Pyramides or Concorde

Can you spot the baguette?

3. Buttes de Chaumont

This has to be one of my favourite parks in the world. If you hike all the way to the top, you can see a world-class view of the city. This park has ponds, waterfalls, suspended bridges, exotic trees, restaurants – what more can you want?

Nearest metro: Buttes-Chaumont (7bis line)

4. Canal Saint Martin

This gorgeous river surrounded by restaurants and boats is a great place to picnic. Trust me, hanging out by this canal feels like stepping into a totally different country.

Nearest metro: Jaurès

I must be in Italy or something…

5. Champ-de-Mars

Although you might wanna avoid the people selling miniature eiffel towers in front of the actual thing (LOL), coming here is a must for anyone in Paris.

Nearest metro: Trocadéro

But imagine a sunny day though…

6. Sacré-Coeur

For an even better view of the city, you can climb all the way up to Sacré-coeur with the baes. Or if you’re not feeling the stairs, there’s always the cable car.

Nearest metro: Anvers, Abbesses, Blanche
